Credit rating withdrawal rationale
ACRA has withdrawn the following unsolicited credit ratings of the Government of the Republic of Belarus under the international scale: the long-term foreign currency credit rating at B+ and the local currency credit rating at B+, and the short-term foreign currency credit rating at B and the local currency credit rating at B. The outlooks on the long-term foreign / local currency credit ratings are Developing. The credit ratings have been withdrawn without their concurrent affirmation. ACRA has withdrawn the credit ratings due to non-analytical reasons.
REGULATORY DISCLOSURE
The sovereign credit ratings were assigned to the Republic of Belarus at the initiative of ACRA, without a relevant agreement, under the international scale based on the Methodology for Credit Rating Assignment to Sovereign Entities under the International Scale and the Key Concepts Used by the Analytical Credit Rating Agency Within the Scope of Its Rating Activities.
The unsolicited sovereign credit ratings of the Republic of Belarus were published by ACRA for the first time on February 20, 2020. The credit ratings of the Republic of Belarus will not be revised and published on the dates indicated in the Calendar of planned sovereign credit rating revisions and publications because of their withdrawal due to non-analytical reasons. Planned revision date is January 23, 2024, planned publication date is January 26, 2024. Withdrawal date is November 9, 2023. Withdrawal publication date is November 14, 2023.
The unsolicited sovereign credit ratings were assigned based on information from publicly available sources and ACRA’s own databases.
In assigning the unsolicited sovereign credit ratings, ACRA used only information, the quality and reliability of which were, in ACRA’s opinion, appropriate and sufficient to apply the methodologies.
ACRA provided no additional services to the Government of the Republic of Belarus. No conflicts of interest were discovered in the course of unsolicited sovereign credit ratings assignment.
